Hello, We have
never had our daughter practice an instrument during Christmas
vacation. She did this year!!!! She was THRILLED with the
trumpet and her band director said it is UNREAL!!!! He jokingly
said I could get instruments for all the band members from here
on!!!! The case is fabulous!!! The second time I saw her
director, he told me he took her trumpet to a friend that plays
very well and he blew it. He said it is the best trumpet he has
ever blown!!! Totally impressed!!!! How do I say THANK YOU !!!!

The cardboard cone in the bell to prevent damage by shifting was a very nice touch, as was extra bubble wrap on the inside and outside, and thin plastic wrap around the horn. Fedex treated the package easy with no damage to the outside box (nor to the case nor to the instrument inside). The valve action did not suffer in transit, either. Fred, The Martin Indiana trumpet sounds and plays great. At first I tried my
Bach plain 7 which works well on my 30s King Liberty but it (or rather I
through it) made the Martin sound dull. But when I tried a 3C, it really
popped with each attack and settled into a fat warm sustain. Thanks for
selling it to me. I couldn't be more pleased unless it said Committee on it!

Best, Kevin Hi Fred, The trumpet arrived! It sounds very good and it it plays very in tune. The Martin mouthpiece is perfect for it. And it is surprisingly accurate for such an old mouthpiece. By the way, I noticed it has the same shank length used by Monette mouthpieces. I imagine this contributes to making the Martin mouthpiece and the Dansant work well together. I would like to tell you that I LOVED the trumpet and I understand that it is a 90 years old trumpet. Thanks for all the help!!!
