Q. Do you have a return policy?

A. Yes we do! We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. We appreciate your business and want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, notify us within 7 days of receipt for an exchange or you can allow us to give it a new home with someone else and obtain a refund of the purchase price less actual shipping costs and phone credit/debit card processing fees plus restocking fees. Important Updates: for phone sales, our credit card processor does not refund the fees with paying over the phone. If a refund is given, it will be less the original shipping and processor fees. Most fees range between 3% to 10%. Paypal payments have fees of 3% to 10% also depending on the payment - shipping costs and restocking fee will still be deducted from the refund. Note, a restocking fee has been instituted because although our return policy is in place to ensure our customers do not get stuck with the wrong piece of gear, some have violated the spirit of our return policy by 1) buying to try only (you can rent elsewhere please), 2) having excessive returns, 3) buying to resell within the return period (we call forced consignment without permission), and other similar circumstances. Restocking fees will be a minimum of 5% up to 15% depending on the circumstance and will be determined solely at the discretion of Quality Brass as to the exact amount a restocking fee will be for a return.  In extreme circumstances, a buyer's account will be disabled and will be dis-allowed from future purchases.
 

Q. What forms of payment do you take?

A. We take nearly all forms of payment.  Paypal is our preferred form of payment.  If you wish to pay by credit card or debit card, select the Paypal option at the end of checkout and you can pay as a guest of Paypal similar to other online purchases.   You do not have to be a Paypal member to use this option - but Paypal does give you the option to join if you wish.  As well, money order, cashier's checks and personal checks may be used for payment but shipping will be delayed until those forms of payment clear our bank.  We are able to process some cards over the phone but this process does not work as well as the Paypal option.

 

Q. Do you have Payment Plans?

A. YES.  We have two right now - Bill Me Later is available through Paypal.  This is generally 6 months to pay for purchases over $99 with NO interest. The advantage of this one is your payment is immediate to us and we ship the trumpet right away out to you!  As well, in these economically challenging times, we have worked with a number of folks on a lay-away type payment plan which we offer - please inquire about that on the Contact page. In general, you pay 50% down payment, make payments for 2-3 months to pay off your purchase  NO interest (we are not a bank) and once the final payment is made, the trumpet is shipped out to you.

 

Q. Are prices negotiable?

A. Yes and no, pricing is generally based on 60,000+ sales records we maintain to determine the BEST price.  If.you believe the price of an instrument should be more or less than listed here, please contact us about what you propose - it never hurts to ask.

Q. Do you have a Right of Refusal option?
A. Yes, all sales start at pending following payment and, if deemed proper by Quality Brass personnel, a sale may be cancelled and a refund made at that time.

Q. Do you take trade-ups or take trade-ins?

A. It depends.  At times we are looking for certain types of instruments and at others, we are not.  Best bet is to contact us at the Contact link and tell us what you have and what you're looking for.  We also allow trading in any instrument you have bought from us for an upgrade.  We will allow up to your original purchase price ( not including shipping ) if the trade-up is in as good of shape as when we sold it to you.  Any repairs/damage/cleaning that may be necessary will be deducted from the trade-up value to determine a difference price for the upgraded purchase.

 

Q. Are the instruments serviced and play ready before shipping?

A. Yes, unless otherwise stated in the listing, on instruments purchased over $250, we service and playtest to ensure when received, they are ready to go.  If an instrument is listed as being "As Is" or needing something, we service each instrument and play it to ensure it is play-ready when received.
